Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy


Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy teaches you to embrace your thoughts and feelings, rather than fight against them. Though it can seem counterintuitive, learning how to accept that there are moments in life that create stress and anxiety, paired with mindfulness strategies, prepares us for any challenge that life may present us with.

ACT therapy focuses on teaching you how to create and integrate psychological flexibility into your life. Creating a willingness to experience difficult feelings/thoughts allows you to be fully present, observe and notice your thoughts and feelings without allowing them to control you, discover what is most important to you, and take action towards pursuing your goals.
